I am having a contest! leave a comment and tell me which soap wrap you like best and I will pick a name at random to receive a free bar of soap of their choice!
I have always been incredibly multiple personality like when it came to my soap crafting. I love bright fun colors. I also love clean simple lines. I love soft gorgeous mellow Waldorf like colors. And I like handmade papers. I also want my soaps to be easily identifiable as mine... and and and ;) LOL!!
So... help me ;) I have taken a few pictures of soaps and decided this would be a perfect time for my first contest!!
So, let me know which wrapping you would love to buy and/or receive!
Hand Dyed Fabric Wrapping.
I dye fabric. I LOVE dying fabric :) And I really love the idea of adding one more handmade facet to my soaps! I took these photos at night so the fabric looks a little wierd in the flash but you can get the idea. I will do different colors for eash soap. Or perhaps I will just do different colors as I grab them... no two alike. Haven't decided....
Handmade Paper
I will coordinate paper to the soap color (I have natural cream, green, slate blueish and pink so can pretty much find something to look nice with all of my natural soap colors)
Parchment Carstock Wrap Around
Again, matching paper to soap. It's a little boring but very simple and straightforward...
Quilter's Cotton Fabric Bags
Will do different fabrics for each soap. I chose this fabric as I made this particular essential oil blend for my Mom when she was in the hospital after her heart attack. I wanted something to help combat her lonliness and lift her spirits. This fabric is a mock "Grandmother's Garden" quilt block. My Mom had a quilt from her grandmother when I was little that was in this patten. So, this soap is very sentimental to me, all around :D
Thanks for your opinions :D And be sure to put your choice of soap in the comment box so if you win, you get the soap you love!

love the handmade paper best, followed by the parchment.
For scents, I like fruity and food scents.
I like the handmade paper, but it seems like a lot of soapers already do that. Could you try using some of your dyed fabric and just make a band (like the homemade paper) to wrap around the soap? Just an idea.
I think the handmade paper best. Second the hand dyed fabric. (the comment about hand dyed fabric band is awesome, though!)
I love the hand dyed fabric one! Gorgeous!
I really llke the dyed fabric!
I love the hand dyed fabric. It's just gorgeous, and it could be re-used for something else, instead of just thrown away. Just beautiful! :)
I love the hand dyed fabric :)
I like the hand dyed fabric best also, with the quilter's fabric a close second. I love the idea of being able to re-use the fabric bag for another occasion or gift giving!
I like the handmade paper. Very cute:)
The handmade paper is absolutely perfect!
I like the handmade paper best, because I like to see the soap. I also like that you've listed the ingredients you use. However, I think the dyed-fabric bags are perfect for gift-giving!
They are all very nice, but I like the handmade paper best!
I love the fabric wraps, but I know that can add up cost-wise and sometimes put single bars of soap out of peoples' price range.
Maybe offer them "naked" for a price discount?
Handmade paper all the way! It looks great on display too, I like to be able to see the soap.
Little baggies are cute, but I don't think they would prove much use for everyone, and would just cost more. Plus, they cover up the great soap itself!
Show off the soap! :)
Or, as I have seen mentioned... maybe a band of fabric and the handmade paper too, so the soap is still visible. It will help set you apart from the soap crowd.
Happy deciding!
I like the handmade paper the best. Part of the fun of the homemade soaps is seeing how pretty they are.
I love the handmade paper, simple & showcases the soap.

I love the handmade paper!! It is very livid and will really show off your craft(wom)anship! I don't want my soap covered ~ I want to be able to see it, feel it, and smell it.
If you really want to use fabric, can you dye some kind of bag and then "rubber band it" around the soap so people will know it can be used as a body scrubber?
I like the handmade paper best, also. You could offer your gift bags as an option.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first option!!

I really love the handmade paper, it's so pretty!
I love the fabric bags, but only if they don't diminish the wonderful scents which emanate from the soaps. My whole bedroom is rich with the smell of the last bars I purchased from you. Mmmmmm....
Something floral.
Handmade paper!
I like the 2cnd option, the paper wrapper.
I like the handmade paper. Very pretty and has such a natural look to it.
I prefer the handmade paper.
Handmade paper here, with a choice of adding a "gift bag" made out of quilter fabric.
The handmade paper has a list of ingredients (that would satisfy *my* curiosity, if I were shopping), and the bags would make it a nice giftable option
If I win, I'd like a spearmint soap (DD is in love with anything mint)
I like the prachment wrap around...simple.
xoxo
Handmade paper, no contest for me :) I really like that look best!

I like either the hand dyed fabric or the handmade paper.

Another vote for handmade paper.
I like the first bag best - with the dyed fabric :)
I love the tie dye bag. Different and cute!
I really like the handmade paper. I like being able to see the soap--after all, I won't be using it with the wrapper on! ;)
Another vote here for the handmade paper wrap with the ingredients listed. I also love seeing and smelling the soap and I'm not sure I would find much use for the little cloth bags, although the hand-dyed one is beautiful!
I think the parchment is best if you want it to be easy to identify as yours, although I absolutely love the hand dyed bag it seems a bit wasteful to me, and I would not want to think I am buying the bag everytime I need soap when all I really need is the soap KWIM? Maybe you could use a strip of the hand dyed fabric with the parchment kind of like a ribbon.
